本院新闻传播系拟于10月23日举办新闻传播学专题讲座，此次讲座采用英语授课。欢迎广大同学，尤其是留学生参加。

四、主讲老师介绍：

相雨 英国威斯敏斯特大学CAMRI研究中心博士候选人，主要研究领域为国际新闻传播学、电视受众研究、中非媒体研究等。

Yu Xiang, PhD Candidate of University of Westminster, London, UK. Her main research interests lie in the areas of international communication studies, television audience research and Sino-Africa media studies.

 五、讲座内容介绍：

随着21世纪全球化的进一步深化以及互联网科技的长足发展，媒体产业无论在经济上、政治上还是文化上都变得史无前例的重要，继而新闻传播学科也迎来了自其创立几十年来最为繁华的时代。作为一门发展历史较短的现代人文学科，新闻传播学的研究方法论作为现代人文学科的立命之本，其重要性不言而喻。因此，今日的讲座将以博士论文写作作为实例，展开来讨论一下在新闻传播学中常见的几种方法论以及相关的一些问题。

Along with the development of globalisation and internet technology, media industry has become unprecedentedly important in either economic, political or cultural aspect. Accordingly, the academic discipline of journalism and communication studies is climbing towards the forever ascending peak of its history. As a modern discipline with a history of few decades, the importance of establishing solid methodological foundations to support the further development of journalism and mass communication studies is obvious. Therefore, the seminar today is aimed to discuss several mainstream methodological approaches in media studies based on the realistic case of doctoral dissertation writing.
